ESTHER DOCKERY
Esther is a conscientious, highly motivated architect and Leed accredited professional, who approaches each project with a pragmatic thought process and detail-oriented execution. Over the course of her 20-year career, she has successfully managed the delivery of a diverse range of projects, including luxury ground-up condominiums in NYC and the renovation and expansion of numerous private residences as well as multi-family apartment buildings. Esther has also worked on institutional projects such as the 99,000-square-foot St. Coletta School for Exceptional Children in Washington, D.C., and several large-scale international developments, including the master plan for a 385-acre resort in the Bahamas. As a result of her extensive experience in NYC, Esther has a detailed understanding of the city’s zoning requirements and building codes and is particularly skilled in ushering projects through regulatory approvals, including those of the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Several of her projects have been published, including a high-end private residence in Hopewell, NJ, that was featured in Architectural Digest.
Born and raised in Germany, Esther received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami and her Master in Architecture and Urban Design from Cornell University. She is currently working for Morris Adjmi Architects, where she manages the interior architecture and design of multiple large scale developments, including mixed-use developments in Philadelphia and Washington D.C., as well a new 24 story luxury apartment building in Midtown Manhattan. Previously Esther has worked independently as well as in the offices of Michael Graves, SPaN, and Diebboll Architects where she was exposed to a diversity of project types. Esther is the proud mother of two energetic young boys and lives with her family in Brooklyn, NY.
